Remember when I blogged about Lucky magazine and how a subscription could earn you cash back? Well, it's one of my favorite reasons for shopping online and here's how it works:
1. Join Lucky Rewards (LR) here. If you have a subscription to the mag, it's free. If not, you can test it on a trial basis for 90 days and then subscribe to the mag if you like it.
2. Browse the website. Hundreds of merchants and their cash back percentages are listed.
3. Any time you want to purchase anything online - start here. Find the website you want to shop and click the link. That simple click will register in your personal account.
4. If you purchase something, the cash back will be posted into your LR account in a few days.
5. Quarterly, they will send you a VISA gift card with your accumulated cash back!
I have been using LR for 3 years and have received over $400 cash back! I'm aware that signifies I shop a lot, but I'm ok with it :) Here's one example of how I used it: We found a hotel we wanted to stay at in Paris. On LR, hotels.com is 4% cash back. I logged into LR, clicked hotels.com, and booked our hotel like normal. After our stay, I got an email that $38 hit my rewards account from that one booking. In a few weeks, they will send me my rewards in the mail!
So all in all, it's just one extra step to take and I think it's worth it. It helps justify spending right? Try it and let me know what you think!
